A Note from NFJE President Dan D. Kohane
The 2020 NFJE Symposium Goes Virtual

As you are aware, the NFJE had scheduled its Sixteenth Annual Judicial Symposium, entitled “Law in the New Age: How Automation and Intelligence Will Change Judging in Substance and Procedures,” for July 17–18 in Chicago.

Our program committee, chaired by Tillman J. Breckenridge, along with the NFJE board and staff, have been hard at work setting and implementing a plan for presenting our 2020 symposium. We will bring the outstanding program TO YOU by offering it in (four) monthly segments, around two hours each, beginning at 3 p.m. Eastern/Noon Pacific, starting July 16. Attendees will be able to ask live questions and get answers from our presenters via videoconference.

Save the dates: July 16, August 20, September 17, and October 15. We look forward to seeing you online! This is a unique opportunity and we encourage you to invite your colleagues—many of whom have never or only sporadically attended an NFJE symposium—to seize this opportunity to reap the benefits of our programming from the comfort of their homes or chambers.

Please contact Megan O’Neill (moneill@dri.org) with your most current email address to receive email updates regarding the symposium.
